Has anyone got any thoughts on re-usable nappies
I have just started to use them much to my husbands
disgust !!! The main reasons I have chosen to use them
is to save , money and ofcourse the enviromental factor.
So far do good I have been really impressed with them
and they wash up well although I am a bit of a fair time user
as if I am going out for the entire day I will opt
for disposables as I'm not lugging dirty / wet nappies around
with me.
But everything helps and the more I use them the more
it helps with the enviroment and also our pockets.
Although my biggest challenge is to convert my beloved
that they are actually a good idea !!!!
Good for you - I think all the reasons behind reusable nappies are great except for getting totally rid of really stinky nappies as fast as poss! I also wrangled with the fact that you had to use the washing machine too at some point, or have a truck deliver new ones, but must surely be less damaging to the enviro than a nappy that takes hundreds of yrs to biodegrade in a landfill
It should save you money- even if you are slightly part time. Have you found they they increase nappy rash? I used some 'green' disposables once for a short time and it's the only time that one of my 3 got dreadful nappy rash.
